As the head team physician for the U.S. Women's National Team, Dr. Karen Sutton is responsible for providing care for the national team athletes. Additionally, as a member of US Lacrosse's Sports Science and Safety Committee, she serves in an advisory role to the board of directors on injury prevention and management. She provided the medical care for the U.S. Women’s National Team 2017 World Cup Gold Medal Team in England and the U.S. Women’s National Team 2011 World Cup Gold Medal U-19 Team in Germany. She collaborates with the entire US Lacrosse medical team including primary care sports medicine physicians, certified athletic trainers, performance coaches, physical therapists, and nutritionists.
