As the Official Hospital for the New York Giants, HSS has served the team for more than four decades, including four championship seasons. From training camp to the playoffs, HSS physicians are dedicated to providing world-class orthopedic and musculoskeletal care, overseeing all player care and guiding the decision-making around diagnosing and treating injuries.
Extending this spirit into the community, HSS and the Giants partner with USA Football to champion local high school students who have a passion for football by jointly presenting the Heart of a Giant Award. This award recognizes tackle and flag football athletes, student managers and mascots who demonstrate grit, perseverance and commitment to their schools and hometowns. The award provides programs in the tristate area with much-needed equipment grants for the finalists’ schools. Each year, the program donates more than $20,000 in grants as well as educational resources around injury prevention and safety in sport. The program was a finalist for ESPN’s Sports Humanitarian Award at the 2018 ESPYs and shortlisted for a 2022 Hashtag Sports Award.
