From our latest sports safety program focusing on reducing the risk of ACL injury in young athletes to our HSS eAcademy which delivers education to our dedicated professionals on demand, we’re on a constant quest to enhance public health and patient care, worldwide, through knowledge transfer and state of the art programming. When you join the Academic Training team, you will partner with colleagues across the hospital to organize and facilitate our highly sought after medical student, residency and fellowship programs. As a part of our dynamic Graduate Medical Education (GME) program, you’ll have a direct impact in providing a world-class education experience to physicians, while helping to expand our academic leadership around the world. Additionally, as an AT team member, you will work very closely with staff members in our state-of-the art Bioskills Education Laboratory, which provides a simulated surgical training environment for our trainees, accredited by American College of Surgeons (ACS) Education Institute as well as staff members in the Kim Barrett Memorial Medical Library.
The Professional Education team routinely collaborates with HSS clinical services and notable domestic and international organizations to develop continuing medical education activities in musculoskeletal health. These activities for physicians, surgeons, and allied health professionals are intended to drive improvement in practice and optimize the care, health, and wellness of their patients. HSS Alumni also participate in these activities, continuing their lifelong journey and satisfying the considerable need for up-to-date educational resources. This team ensures accreditation and compliance for all accredited professional education activities sponsored by HSS, from live onsite programs to those on our world-class digital platform, HSS eAcademy®. Our members’ expertise ranges from needs assessment and curriculum development to onsite management and marketing. These innovative, energetic colleagues embrace change on the Hospital's road to sustained leadership in musculoskeletal health.

Public & Patient Education is committed to providing world-class impactful education, outreach and exercise programs to the diverse communities we serve. This team is responsible for working with an interdisciplinary team of professionals to assess our communities’ needs and develop tailored programs, both onsite, in the community and digitally, to meet these needs. Whether you are designing and facilitating programs, creating evaluation tools, or developing and implementing outcomes analyses, you can be assured your efforts will impact the care and quality of life for patients and the public everywhere.
