Our Role in Your Development
Demonstrating commitment to our employees is essential to our overall success. So whether you’re brand new to HSS or have been with us for over 20 years, we’ll help you advance your career in any way that we can. We empower our staff by offering regular training and development programs to broaden their knowledge and abilities.
At HSS, we believe that the sharing of knowledge and experience is the key to your personal development. Our Mentoring Program is designed to help recently hired or promoted HSS managers succeed in their new roles and fully understand their responsibilities. Over the course of six months, you’ll be assigned not only a mentor but a program coordinator ensuring you’re making the most of your experience.
Training and development doesn’t stop after your first six months. Our HSS Leadership Academy is a competency-based two-year program designed to develop the leadership skills and knowledge of frontline management (Supervisors, Managers, and Directors). In our world the stakes are high and we need to ensure we’re constantly improving. In order to achieve our mission, we need leaders who can inspire their teams and create a culture of excellence and high-performance that continues to deliver exceptional service to our patients.
Continuous learning is a critical thread in the fabric that makes HSS who we are. The eAcademy is a hub of reliable information for employees. Split into a variety of different categories, you can explore specific courses that you’re interested in or read professional publications. It’s regularly updated and offers activities that can be completed for credit online. Offerings include featured online symposia on current issues in musculoskeletal medicine, surgical videos, visiting professor lecture series, rehabilitation grand rounds, and multiple CEU modules for physical therapists, occupational therapists, athletic trainers/coaches and other professionals.
